To Whom It May Concern:
I write to inform you of the television rights agreement in relation to the Dunlop Townsville
400 to be held in Townsville from 10 12 July, 2009.
The Seven Network has rights to the event and as a result of this agreement the following
conditions apply in respect of coverage of the event by other networks/television
stations.
No television crews other than those assigned by the Seven Network or by the event
organisers are to shoot any event vision or sounds from inside the event precinct on
Saturday July 11 or Sunday July 12, 2009.
Television crews other than those assigned by the Seven Network are to shoot event
vision or sounds by helicopter or by any other means from outside the declared event
area on Saturday July 11 or Sunday July 12, 2009.
Television news crews (other than those assigned by the Seven Network) will be able to
access the circuit for the limited purpose of the Premiers press call on Saturday July 11
provided that they have successfully obtained accreditation, follow the directions of V8
Supercars staff while in the circuit and provided the only vision or audio taken is strictly
limited to the Premiers activities during the designated period of the press call and no
other event activity. The exact time and location for accreditation and the press
conference is yet to be finalized and will be announced.
The Seven Network has advised it will provide an off-air signal of racing at the event on
Saturday July 11 or Sunday July 12, 2009. In addition a VNR containing a collection of
crowd shots and behind the scenes activities will be available at 1445 on Saturday 11
July, and 1615 on Sunday July 12, 2009.
It further advises that the usual 3x3x3 arrangement will apply with vision only to be
included in regularly scheduled daily news programs (i.e. no vision to be used in news
updates or promos), vision must be clearly watermarked (it must not be distorted or
altered in any fashion) and vision may not be transmitted or communicated over the
internet or via any interactive media or electronic medium without the express prior
approval of Seven Network.
Television news crews (other than those assigned by the Seven Network) will be able to
access the circuit on Thursday July 9 and Friday July 10 2009 providing: they have
successfully applied for accreditation and that the access is for news access purposes

Television news crews that have gained accreditation to the event for Thursday July 9

All tabards must be returned to Belinda Morters in the V8 Supercar Television compound
before crews leave the circuit on the same day the bib is collected.
Additionally, access will be available for stations other than the Seven Network for the
two concerts on Saturday July 11 2009 at the circuit, namely Eskimo Joe and the
Potbelleez.
Television stations wishing to obtain vision of the concerts should contact Renee Osmond
on mobile 0428 590 066 or by email on rlo@v8supercars.com.au prior to Thursday July 9,
2009 to arrange accreditation and collection of a tabard (bib), which must be returned
to Renee Osmond prior to leaving the circuit.
Normal conditions videoing the first song of each artist apply, and other restrictions may
be put in place dependent on artist management. Only organisations that have gained
media accreditation can avail themselves of this opportunity.
Crews that have gained concert coverage accreditation MUST NOT take vision of any
other activity at the circuit.
