LONG ISLAND LEADS THE WAY FOR GOLFERS AT ALL LEVELS

The Long Island Country Club (LICC) has launched a range of tailored membership
packages and laid claim to offering the best value, most enjoyable and rewarding
golfing experience in Victoria.

LICC President Neil McComb said that the club recognised time and financial
constraints were significant considerations, even obstacles, for golfers when
contemplating joining a club or renewing their existing Club Membership.

`We have met both of these challenges head on' Mr Mc Comb said.

`In terms of time availability, as of today we are offering seasonal membership,
Summer or Winter, 9 hole and one day memberships as well as the conventional
Seven day and Mid-Week memberships' he said.

`To ease the cost we have waived the Entrance Fee and can offer easy monthly
payments'.

`We have also developed a special Ladies member package of just $30 a week'
he added.

`On top of this each new member is offered free coaching clinics allowing existing
golfers to polish their game and beginners to reach a level of proficiency and
confidence to play either socially or in the Clubs regular competitions' he said.

Mr Mc Comb said that the LICC sand belt course with its own natural water source
was in outstanding condition to the extent that it was voted the Best Pro Am Course
by the PGA for 2008.

`The opening of the Eastlink has now brought Melbourne to within a comfortable
forty minute drive and already we have benefited from new members enjoying the
Clubs new accessibility' he said.

`These elements, along with the friendly and welcoming nature of the club and its
members all add up to a richly rewarding and enjoyable golfing experience,
representing great value for existing golfers and those contemplating taking up our
great game' Mr McComb concluded.
