Music, food and wine add flavor to Boat Festival

Live music and local food and wine tasting are

just some of the highlights on offer at next

month’s Melbourne International Boat &

Lifestyle Festival.

Teamed with millions of dollars worth of boats

on the water, the Festival runs from 5 to 7

February at Docklands and promises to deliver a

feast for all the senses.

Headlining the music line-up dubbed ‘Rock the

Boats’ is former Bardot band member Katie

Underwood.

The Aria-nominated star has returned to her jazz

and swing roots and will perform songs from

her first solo album, ‘Ain’t Nobody’s Baby’.

Underwood will be performing on Friday 5

February at 6pm and again on Sunday 7

February at noon on the iPrimus Rock the Boats Stage at Waterfront City as part of the Boat &

Lifestyle Festival.

Other performers include The Distance, featuring JV Marine’s Mitchell Dean, Dutch Tilders, Peter

Cupples, Dr Rock and up-and-coming local artist Marc Collis, who released his first single “I miss

everything” last year before joining John Farnham on his national tour.

Collis will perform songs from his upcoming album “Louder on the Inside”.

Festival patrons will be treated to live music daily, from 1pm on Friday 5 February and from 11 am

on Saturday and Sunday 6 and 7 February until the Festival ends each night.

Show goers will also have the chance to win an Alpine Marine Entertainment System that will be

drawn on Sunday.

Local food and wine makers will be tempting patrons with free samples of local food and wine

throughout the entire Festival.

And for those who want to learn how to cook their next catch, Bart Beek will present his well-loved

cooking demonstrations at the Club Marine stand throughout the Festival.

Melbourne International Boat & Lifestyle Festival is organised by the Boating Industry Association

of Victoria (BIA) and runs from Friday 5 February to Sunday 7 February, 2010. Opening hours are

10am to 6pm daily except Friday, when the show closes at 8pm.
